The Klein Tools 1684-74 Chicago® Grip is designed specifically for demanding wire-pulling applications involving EHS (extra-high-strength) galvanised-steel cable, as well as aircraft cable, messenger and guy strand.
When pulling EHS cable, the galvanised coating can build up on conventional grip jaws and cause slippage. The 1684-74 addresses this with milled curved jaws featuring a double-V contour, helping reduce slippage and potential cable damage while maintaining secure contact.
