The Klein Tools 1656-20H Chicago Grip with Hot-Line Latch is designed for pulling bare ACSR, AAC, aluminium and stranded-copper conductors. Its round, smooth inside-jaw contour provides maximum contact with the conductor while helping reduce cable deformation and slippage.
The integrated hot-line latch allows the grip to be positioned on a conductor using a hot-line stick. Three notches in the latch allow the balance of the grip to be adjusted to better match the direction of cable sag. The grip accommodates cable diameters from 0.20″ to 0.40″ (5.08 to 10.16 mm) and has a maximum safe load of 4,500 lb (2,041 kg).
