The Klein Tools 1684-5H Chicago Grip with Hot-Line Latch is designed for pulling aircraft cable, EHS, messenger and guy strand. Its double-V jaw provides secure four-point contact with the cable, helping maintain correct alignment and dependable gripping performance during demanding wire-pulling applications.
The integrated hot-line latch allows the grip to be positioned on the wire using a hot-line stick. When the stick is removed, the latch closes automatically to help prevent the grip from accidentally disengaging from the cable. The grip accommodates cable diameters from 0.218″ to 0.55″ (5.54 to 13.97 mm) and has a maximum safe load of 8,000 lb (3,629 kg).
