The Klein Tools 1656-40H Chicago Grip with Latch is designed for pulling bare ACSR, AAC and stranded-copper conductors. Its round, smooth inside-jaw contour provides maximum conductor contact while helping to minimise cable deformation and reduce slippage.
The integrated hot-line latch allows the grip to be placed onto a conductor using a hot-line stick. Once the stick is removed, the latch closes automatically to help prevent accidental disengagement. Three notches in the latch allow the balance of the grip to be adjusted to better match the direction of cable sag.
