The Klein Tools 1647728 Wide Range Distribution Grip is specifically designed for securely pulling slippery HDPE-coated cable commonly known as tree wire or fire wire. Its wide gripping range accommodates cable diameters from 0.162″ to 0.883″ (4.11 to 22.42 mm), making it a versatile solution for utility and distribution applications.
The one-handed design makes the grip easier to operate, while the spring mechanism closes the grip onto the cable to help maintain its initial position. Manufactured from steel, the grip is designed to provide secure cable contact while remaining significantly lighter than traditional heavy-duty grips. A large opening in the handle accommodates a variety of hooks used with hoists, winches and tackle blocks.
